Futura Green is a bold and elegant five-colour needlepoint kit inspired by the striking geometry of Art Deco and the progressive flair of the Modern Movement. The recommended Basketweave Tent Stitch offers excellent coverage and an enjoyable, flowing rhythm whether worked on a frame or in hand.

Designed and made in England, the kit features a full-colour design printed directly onto premium 12hpi Zweigart canvas using eco-friendly, water-based inks. The balanced palette includes pale aqua, soft moss green, hot pink, vivid crimson, and rich nutty brown—creating a vivid and contemporary composition.

Stitching Style: Basketweave Tent Stitch
We recommend using Basketweave Tent Stitch for this kit—a classic, high-quality stitch known for its strength, smooth finish, and excellent coverage. Best worked on a frame, this stitch works diagonally across the canvas in a zigzag formation on the back, helping to keep the fabric square and preventing warping. It produces a soft yet dense surface and is ideal for creating long-lasting, professional-looking results.

Because Basketweave Tent Stitch covers both the front and back of the canvas, it builds a new textile layer that’s not only beautifully textured but also durable enough for everyday use—perfect for items like cushions or framed textiles. Clear instructions for this stitch (and alternatives such as Half Cross or Continental Tent Stitch) are included, so you can choose the method that suits you best.
